American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Update

The state and local fund components of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) directly fund $350 billion in allocations to state, city, and county governments to fill revenue holes caused by the pandemic and invest in projects to boost the economy. The recently completed final rule for distribution of ARPA funds adds flexibility in the use of dollars for smart grid solutions. In fact, recipients are authorized to automatically use up to $10 million of their allocation for services, including smart grid projects. With that in mind, state and local governments are currently in the process of determining how to use these funds. Tantalus has the expertise to help utilities understand the availability of ARPA funds allocated to local governments and how you can access your fair share for relevant smart grid efforts.

Please contact Mike Julian at mjulian@tantalus.com to arrange for a consultation on how to access funds.
